Canadian citizen blasts Ressa over FB remark: You can’t blame somebody for your own dysfunction!

Rappler's CEO Maria Ressa is now in hot water.

This after she guested at Boy Abunda's late night show called The Bottomline at ABS-CBN.

In the program, the Rappler CEO was featured on one of its episodes which aired late Saturday where she sounded as though Facebook is the one to blame behind the political divide in the country. Her reason? According to her, the social media giant allowed the disagreements and divisions to thrive by - through its algorithms - feeding the Facebook users only the content which contain the same belief that they have over certain things. As a result, the ones that would appear on the app user's news feed are only those with high engagements.

As reported by ABS-CBN, Ressa said that Facebook also propagated disinformation by treating facts on "a popularity basis".

In a Facebok post, a Canadian political scientist or commentator Amir Assadollahi lambasted Maria Ressa over the said remark on Facebook; questioning that what the news site's CEO is currently doing may be a theory in psychology known as 'psychological projection'.

On the same post, the Canadian political scientist explained that psychological projection is 'a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others'.

Check out his full post below:

Isn’t that a psychological projection by Maria Ressa?

As many know, “Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.”

Pointing fingers for one’s own shortcoming. You see, “you are responsible for your life. You can’t keep blaming somebody else for your own disfunction. Life is really about moving on.”

As the old saying goes, “when people point fingers at someone else, they should remember three fingers are pointing back at them.”

Also, remember Jesus said in John 8:7, “he who is without sin among you, cast the first stone.” Maria Ressa acts as if she and her corrupt organization is without sin! “Don’t judge someone just because they sin differently than you”, Madam!

You fear Social Media and FaceBook Netizens, because you can’t point finger at every single one of them, so you blame your own shortcomings on FaceBook and Social Media. You had the power to be objective and report honestly, but you had decided to use your power and influence to spread fabricated news and misinformation like disease. But now that there is a cure to your type of ill-intentions, like a scared little bacteria, you blame the cure for your own demise, Madam Ressa!

Let me teach you two words, “Omit” and “Deceit” - you omit the facts and deceit people. To omit is “to leave out [and] fail to mention” things which you had to mention when reporting the news or making your fabricated statements against the people of the Philippines and government you did not approve of in order to deceit all in an “act or practice of deceiving [for] concealment or distortion of the truth for the purpose of misleading.” Isn’t it self-serving for you to point fingers at others to omit facts and once again deceit all for your own shortcomings in an attempt to hide the truth and avoid taking responsibility for your criminal acts to instigate political divide in the Philippines and an attempt to steer chaos and insecurity in the region and harm the economy and protect your own self interests?!

“Stop pointing fingers and placing blames on others. Your life can only change to a degree that you accept responsibility for it.” From the looks like it, you lack a sense of ownership, Madam!

“Leaders must own everything in their world.
There is no one else to blame” but yourself, Madam Ressa for the whole you have dug for yourself.

Majority of the Filipinos are supporting the government, the political division is within the Yellow party that their followers are able to see things more clearly and have discovered how they have been deceived for he past three decades under that Fake Yellow Revolution.
