Social media personality slams Kris Aquino after defending Cory: You have no right to feel offended!

A day after the recently concluded EDSA People Power Revolution anniversary, the queen of all media Kris Aquino posted something on Instagram defending her mother, the late Corazon 'Cory' &Aquino.

On the said post was a picture of her with her mother and a fierce caption that aims to defend Cory.

Based in our history, it was the former president Cory Aquino who fought the said-to-be dictatorship of the then president Ferdinand Marcos to bring back the democracy in our country. Thereby making her as the icon of democracy back in 1986. She was also the first woman to hold the presidential office.

While many believe this, a great number of the Filipinos nowadays also question whether or not we were actually fed with the truth.

With a lot of stories during the martial law being uncovered just recently, one can't help but really get shocked and be intrigued about what we were made to believe for over three decades now.

One of them is Krizette Laureta Chu, a well-known social media personality who is known to be anti-Marcos but pro-Duterte.

In line with the queen of all media's instagram post, Chu said on her Facebook post that while Kris says 'they are rewriting history', she says 'it's truth finally coming out'.

The social media personality also emphasized that truth that is gradually coming out is that even though she has no doubt that the Marcoses were evil, she, too, believes that the Aquinos were the same.

According to Chu, us continuing to defend both the Aquinos and the Marcoses, of which divides us, only guarantees that the future children will also be enslaved by the next generation of the both the Aquinos and the Marcoses who will, Chu said, will use such devotion to them to pit Filipinos against their fellow countrymen.

In addition, she pointed out that as history is still being written, Kris does not have the right to feel offended that her mother's heroism is being put in question. The same also added that it is high time we stop defining our being Filipino in the context of Aquino or Marcos as we have already been abused for years.

In the time of the internet and social media, information is no longer controlled by the elite few, and suddenly we have this wealth of information from people who were there, who were not given the platform to tell their stories because they did not align with the approved narrative, and now these stories would be impossible to suppress.

Hence, Kris Aquino, the truth coming out.

And the truth that's slowly coming out is this: I have no doubt that the Marcoses were evil, but so were the Aquinos-- a shock to many of us who were fed with propaganda that Cory and Ninoy were saints.

They were evil in different ways. They abused the Philippines in different ways. They fed us lies in different ways. They made us suffer in different ways. They both left us a legacy of hurt and distrust. They tore this country apart. That we have to accept.

We need to move past the kind of politics that have made us sheep to a certain party. It's not black and white. The Philippines is not Marcos and Aquino. We've given them the stage for more than 30 years.

Bong bong would never apologize for his dad's sins, which is why the Yellows are so mad, but this is also why Kris would always view her mom as if she changed the world, and refuses to see Cory's faults. If you don't think BBM should apologize, then you should not expect Kris to see the truth about her family.

And most importantly:
TAYONG MGA PILIPINO, HINDI NATIN KAANO ANO ANG MGA MARCOS AT AQUINO. YUMAMAN SILA, KAYO HINDI (hello to the cronies, di kayo kasama dito). TO CONTINUE DEFENDING THEM AND BE DIVIDED BY THEM AND TO PLAY BLIND TO THEIR FAULTS IS TO GUARANTEE THAT OUR FUTURE CHILDREN WILL BE ENSLAVED BY THE NEXT GENERATION OF MARCOSES AND AQUINOS WHO WILL USE OUR DEVOTION TO THEM TO PIT FILIPINOS AGAINST FELLOW FILIPINOS.

Actually hindi ko alam ang point ko dito. Ang point ko siguro is, history is still being written, and Kris has no right to feel offended that her mother's heroism is being questioned.

And ang second point ko is: We have been abused for centuries, so it's time to stop defining our being Filipino in the context of Aquino or Marcos.

It's time to ask, what we can do for this country that's separate from our political biases. What can we do for this country that isn't hinged on being pro or anti Marcos or Aquino.

Whatever color you associate with, that color is not more important than the colors of the Philippine flag.

Meanwhile, below is the post of Kris Aquino on her Instagram:

So much of our history is trying to be rewritten and erased by those paying their trolls and fake news purveyors to whitewash their culpability for the killings and suffering they inflicted on our country during the years before our democracy from the dictatorship in 1986. I know our family is not perfect- but the woman standing beside me in this picture who is peacefully in heaven deserves her daughter to stand up for her legacy. I chose this picture taken during Time Magazine’s 80th anniversary celebration in 2006, commemorating when they first started awarding Persons of the Year because it is something that brings back so many happy and hopeful memories. I was in the early part of my 2nd trimester carrying Bimb in my tummy, Mom was more than a year away from her cancer diagnosis... Cory Aquino is the only Filipino to hold the distinct honor of having been chosen as Woman of the Year in 1986, to quote TIME “Whatever else happens in her rule, Aquino has already given her country a bright, and inviolate, memory. More important, she has also resuscitated its sense of identity and pride.” Until 1999 this award was either called Man or Woman of the Year. Paraphrasing portions of bustle.com- It is noteworthy that apart from my Mom, in the 91 Man, Woman, or Persons of the Year issues- Time has only awarded the title to an INDIVIDUAL woman 3 other times, Wallis Simpson in 1936, Queen Elizabeth II in 1952, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in 2015... YES- we live in a democracy, a large part of that is thanks to her. As my Mom taught me so well- a lie no matter how beautifully produced will remain just that- an embarrassing lie. But the TRUTH will stand strong through the test of history. 🇵🇭#mymothersdaughter
